LAMA foods has been established in 1986, by exporting Lebanese products, specifically packaged fruits and vegetables, to Kuwait. A packaging and distributing center was implemented in Northern Lebanon to meet clients’ needs all over Kuwait. It became a trademark in Kuwait for its high quality products. LAMA expanded to different gulf regions: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman. In 2000, other Lebanese food products indulged in LAMA’s exporting field. In 2015, LAMA earned the international certificate of food safety, ISO 22000, which enhances the customer’s confidence in its products.
Abdulnasser Al Samad, the CEO of LAMA, was raised in an agricultural community. His father’s main source of money was from the rich lands he owned in his hometown Bakhoun. Since he was a child, Abdulnasser indulged his hands in the farming process, from crop growth to the harvesting process to product disposal marketing. In 1986, he wanted to start his career and went to Kuwait to enter the farm produce trading field. He was an ambitious 16-years-old young guy who had no other option at this stage of his life. He was forced to quit his education because of the civil war.
Out of the 24 hours, Mr. Abdulnasser worked 22 hours per day he was extremely efficient, ambitious, hardworking, and last but not least creative. All of this made him have his own trading company in 1994.
